What we do
Buy well, then operate
We acquire majority positions in regional fiber and hybrid-fiber ISPs, and we run them as a platform of local providers rather than as a single merged company. Each business keeps its name, its team and its place in the community. What consolidates is everything the customer never sees.
That is billing, vendor and transport pricing, network monitoring, procurement, regulatory filings and grant compliance. Work that is expensive and time-consuming for a single operator with four thousand subscribers, and routine when it is shared across a platform of them.
The outcome we are underwriting is straightforward: a lower cost base, a faster build, and owners and managers who get their week back.
Why now
Capital is arriving in markets that have never seen it
Federal broadband funding is reaching rural markets at a scale they have not experienced before, and it arrives attached to compliance obligations that are routine for a company with a grants department and genuinely burdensome for a company without one. At the same time, national providers and well-capitalized new entrants are moving into territories that were effectively uncontested for decades.
Independent operators are not disadvantaged because the businesses are weak. Most of them are excellent. They are disadvantaged because scale now matters in ways it did not five years ago, and scale is something a platform can supply.

Built by operators, not by a search
Our founder built and scaled fiber networks at national carrier level before starting Woody Creek Partners, and led more than $400 million in federal broadband grant awards in prior operating roles. That is the specific expertise this asset class rewards: knowing what a network actually costs to build, and knowing the federal programmes well enough to take that burden off a seller entirely.
Woody Creek Partners is a dedicated acquisition vehicle. We are not a search fund, and we do not raise capital deal by deal after a letter of intent is signed.
